A hotel near the station. The reception , lounge area and restaurants have had a refurbished but not yet the rooms. The room was adequate size. The bed too hard for my liking. The furniture was old fashioned but functional. The bathroom was very small and not as clean as I would like. It has tv and wifi. The breakfast was buffet style and very nice.

15 April through 23 April of 2023 was our first trip to Copenhagen we spent a few nights stay at Hotel Astoria arriving Denmark 15 April 2023, we bought train tickets to Central Station from a machine at the airport, rode the train and walked out of Central Station to Hotel Astoria. We enjoyed the location the hotel, we enjoyed the breakfast buffet every morning of our stays here. We arrived the day before Queen Margarethe's Birthday so we walked over to see the changing of the Gard and sing Happy Birthday to the Queen. We walked all over Copenhagen and also used the Hop On-Hop Off Bus/ and Canal Boat Tour, we had used a taxi only once...my wife was wore out that day! We rented a car and drove across Zealand, Funen and Jutland visiting different towns along the way to visit with distant relatives in the Bramming area visiting the old family farms of my Mother-In-Law's parents one of the farms is now 5th generation living on the farm. We had stayed at an Air B&B overlooking the Wadden Sea while there before returning to stay again at Hotel Astoria one more night before flying back home. We have rooms booked for this year again the nights of 23 and 24 April 2024 also 4 May and again on 8 May 2024 for our return trip to Denmark!

Disappointing stay unfortunately. I stayed for two nights and had to move rooms due to the noise of the elevator during the night. Both rooms i stayed in were not clean at all and the noise from the elevator and the train station kept me awake. The staff were friendly though and helpful so no issues there.

Old hotel. Entrance , Lobby , elevators have tjis beautifull 1930s style. But rooms are very small and outdated, no fridge, no english channels. Very noisy , so you need earplugs. Closte to station and centre. Breakfast is great but a bit too expensive to compensate for the small bedrooms/beds.

The location is superb. Right beside the Central Station. It's a short walk to the centre of the city. The Central Station is on the Copenhagen Metro. You can get across the whole city from there. The feeling of the hotel is both modern and old. Built as a hotel for railway staff in 1934, it has an art deco feel. The rooms, like most European hotels, are small. If you like the idea of tradition, you will be happy with the compromise. I have my laptop on my travels and the wifi was some of the best i have ever experienced. The lifts (elevators) were small but curiously stylish. My bed was comfortable. The water was hot in the shower. My only real issue was too few electrical outlets to charge all the devices I carry. I had to rotate them around to keep them working. The downstairs lounge had free coffee, teas and water 24/7. The breakfast was decent. Plenty of orginal 1930s original features. I liked it.
